HI I’M ALLY,
I'm a photographer in Seattle, Washington. I shoot weddings, couples, families, and portraits across the Pacific Northwest. My work has been featured in The New York Times. But what defines how I work isn't a publication or a credential. It's the way I pay attention.
I started Grey Coast Photography because I believe people deserve to be seen as they are, not as they think they should look in front of a camera. I work in natural light. I favor candid, documentary-style capture over posed direction. I look for the moments between the moments, the ones you'd miss if you weren't watching closely.

My sessions feel like hanging out with a friend who is nonstop complimenting you. I build a collaborative, safe, trusting space. When you relax, the real you shows up. The real you is who I want to photograph.
I don't hand you a pose sheet. I give you light prompts to get you moving and comfortable, and then I watch. I'm looking for the glance, the inhale, the quiet moment where you forget the camera exists. The frame.
The experience
What a session with me feels like.
I don't walk into a session with a checklist. I walk in with curiosity. Every person, every couple, every family shows up differently. My work is reading the energy and responding to it. I move quietly. I stay close. I shoot when something real happens.
The result is a gallery feeling like a story, not a collection of poses. You see yourself in these photos and recognize the person looking back.

Send me an email with your date, your location ideas, and what you're envisioning. I respond to every message personally.
2 We connect
We get on a call or meet for coffee. I want to know your story, what matters to you, and how you want to feel when you see your photos.
3 We shoot
On the day, I show up early, stay present, and work around you. No rigid timelines, no stiff direction. I move with your energy and follow the light.
4Your gallery
You receive a curated gallery of edited images. Every photo is color-graded to my signature style: moody, intimate, timeless.
